Embrace Life

Institutions - How does the institution take an original and positive approach to road safety?

I believe that the institution approaches road safety in a very original way. Usually, most campaigns like this show the viewer a terrible car accident, but this is more original. The setting is in a lounge, its very homely, the family are laughing, everything seems normal. The originality is also brought across by having the man pretending to drive a car, there is a juxtaposition between the nice home and the reality of the crash. There are also positive approaches, for example, I think when the family literally embrace the mans life, it delivers a positive message, the fact family is so important. Also, the image at the end at the end of the film of the happy family reinforces this positivity that the institution is clearly trying to show. This all links back to the road safety awareness, having the originality of the home setting and the positive image of the family makes this a memorable ad, so therefore, teaches us to wear a seatbelt.
